Build a Loyal Following and a Recurring Revenue With Content You’ve Already Created with Stu McLaren

Wednesday November 4, 2009 3:30 – 4:30pm Eastern

Chances are, you already have everything you need at your finger tips to build a loyal following of people who want to pay you every single month for more access to you, your content or your services.

The question is, are you giving them the chance to give you money each and every month?

If you are, great. During this presentation you’ll learn a variety of strategies to increase your monthly sales.

If not, I have even better news because you’re about to discover the fastest (and easiest) method for taking content you already have and quickly turning it into a monthly revenue stream.

Generally this is referred to as a “membership site” but don’t let the word “membership” throw you off.

There are a lot of different “types” of memberships and during this presentation we’ll talk about the most popular ones and how they releate to you and your business.

Plus, we’ll also talk about:

  • The most effective tools that make setting up a membership site easy and effortless (even if you’re not a technical genius!)
  • Layout and design tricks that naturally seduce non-members into joining your membership
  • Content strategies that will keep your members “hooked” month after month
  • The most effective areas within your membership site for audio and video messages (knowing this can immediately improve the “experience” your members have in your site)
  • Proven strategies for increasing community “interaction” inside your membership site
  • And much more!

So dial in early, buckle your seat belts and get ready for an action packed session focused on how to take what you’ve already got and turn it into a monthly revenue stream.

About Stu:

Stu McLaren is a recognized expert in helping entrepreneurs, coaches, authors and speakers sell more of their products and services on the web through monthly membership programs. His flagship product, WishList Member, now powers over 4100 online membership sites worldwide as it serves to simplify the process of building and managing a monthly membership.

Together with his wife, Stu has used his marketing knowledge to successfully launch a registered Canadian charity called World Teacher Aid. In less than a year, this charity is now funding school feeding programs every single month in countries like Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.

So whether you want to make more money for yourself or raise funds for your favorite charity, Stu will show you the fastest and easiest way to generate recurring revenues by creating and selling your own monthly membership programs.

How should you sell offerings – programs, coaching, products, etc – when you’re in person at a live event as a presenter, or, perhaps leading your own workshop? You’re the coach, the expert, the presenter, so what happens to your audience when you get all sweaty and nervous when it comes time to invite them to purchase something from you? It’s a giant disconnect, right? It’s important to master, otherwise you’re entirely out of integrity.

Consider this the ‘inside peek’ at the little things you can do to create an environment that supports the buying process your participants go through. Like the ‘stager’ who prepares a house for sale, these may seem like small details but in fact are the spit and polish that can make a big difference.

Note, this does not entail a hard-sell filled with hype! You will hear little things to say at the beginning, middle and end of your talk, no matter how long, and, what to instruct your team to do, to make a big difference in your comfort and confidence level. And, whether you’re getting paid a fee or not, you will be able to create more residual income and halo effect from your talk than before, thus leveraging your time. Be prepared for a mindset shift around how your invitations can be authentic, not pushy, and you’ll become to see a difference in your money, honey!
About Andrea:

“Learning is what happens when you (really) don’t know what to do.”
– Andrea J. Lee

The uninhibited generation of value…

CEO of Thought Partners International, Andrea’s consulting firm is one of the most-trusted brands in the coaching and self-help marketplaces and serves as creative partner to thought leaders representing the best in entertainment, politics, academia, therapy, philanthropy, spirituality and more. As Chief Creative Producer, Andrea identifies ‘isolated assets and connects them in a way that creates value, at the same time that she and her team actually produce the product for delivery.‘

Beginning in 2009, Thought Partners has been engaged in the significant project of making the work of Thomas Leonard widely accessible. This multiple-product, multiple-market legacy work, when complete, will illuminate and preserve the many contributions of the man known also as the father of modern professional coaching, and with whom Andrea worked closely for two years prior to his death in 2003.
